What is Aloha eBUYS?
- Aloha eBUYS is a new eProcurement system that will transform the procurement processes for Executive Branch State Departments in Hawai'i. Aloha eBUYS allows buyers to easily shop directly from Statewide vendor catalogs.
Who is Periscope?
- Periscope is the developer and implementer of the ePro eProcurement solution (branded as Aloha eBUYS in Hawai'i). Periscope also provides other products and services for government procurement and purchasing.
- Periscope is owned by mdf commerce, a leader in North American eProcurement. mdf commerce Inc. (TSX:MDF) enables the flow of commerce by providing a broad set of SaaS solutions that optimize and accelerate commercial interactions between buyers and sellers.
How will things change for Executive Branch State staff?
- Phase I: State staff will begin browsing and purchasing from Statewide contracts through the Aloha eBUYS Marketplace. Additionally, the State Procurement Office (SPO) will transition from HIePro to Aloha eBUYS for sourcing, solicitation and contract management.
- Phase II: Procurement Staff in the remaining Executive Brand State Departments will transition from HIePro to Aloha eBUYS for sourcing and solicitation and contract management.
How will things change for our vendors?
- All interested vendors who do or wish to do business with the State will need to register in Aloha eBUYS.
- Vendors awarded Statewide contracts will work with Periscope's Vendor Success Team to best represent their contracted items and/or services in Aloha eBUYS for shopping and purchasing.
- Vendors will receive solicitation notifications through Aloha eBUYS and respond to those solicitations through the solution.
